| Details: ENGINEER - PROTECTION DESIGN(Two Positions)Job #TR10-04 / TR10-19Brazos Electric Cooperative, an electric utility, is seeking candidates for ENGINEER - PROTECTION DESIGN (Two Positions).Under the direction of Supervisor Electrical Engineering Design, designs and plans transmission protection projects in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.Performs detailed engineering studies and reports within degree discipline. Directs the development of project drawings using both conventional drafting and CADD techniques. Gathers information as needed to facilitate design projects. Assists in project management by performing detailed engineering and economic studies, reviewing contract specifications and estimating labor, materials, and construction costs of projects. Provides technical support to others within and outside the Engineering Department. Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering. Two years experience in transmission/substation design is preferred. Additional experience ishighly desirable. Must be proficient in computer applications and have good oral and written communication skills.
